It has been a crazy up and down ride with QuizFunnel, but we are pushing forward!

Here are some bugs that were fixed as well as features that were added:

    Bugs

    1) Jarbled text in evaluation pages are fixed.
    2) Issues with inability to edit Total Value Evaluation rules are fixed
    3) Less than sign in TVE is now ‘less than and equals to’
    4) An oversight on TVE operators. Now it’s possible to create a ‘range’ for TVEs. For e.g., you can have an evaluation for points < 5, for points < 10 and for points >11.
    5) Line spaces and breaks are automatically created for evaluation texts.
    6) Checkbox answers now display relevant evaluations depending on what checkboxes were ticked.

    Upgrades

    1) You can now customize your evaluation page design to a certain extent: add your own brand logo, edit the header, edit font sizes and look. This function is under ‘visual editor’ tab.
    2) Ability to turn on/off text shadow in visual editor
    3) You can now reset statistics for your quizzes
    4) You can now change the ‘submit’ button text to any word you want in your quiz
    5) You can now reorder your quiz questions in the questions tab (for better visual display, as well as to change the first question in your quiz)
    6) When you add a new question to your quiz in the questions tab, the choices in the question before that will automatically point to your newly created question. This helps you save time in linking questions together.

There is one current database interactive bug which we are trying to fix. I apologize for all inconveniences caused!

Huge Bug Detected – Very VERY sorry for inconvenience

    Dear Users,

I understand right now there are two HUGE bugs affected the entire application. They are:

#1) Some users can’t save their quiz choices.

#2) Some users have weird quiz choices added to their questions after saving (a field with a ’1′ is added)

#3) Some users have questions and choices that are not in their quizzes being displayed in their quiz

We are working really hard to rectify these issues, and am really, truly sorry for all these inconveniences caused!

Do feel free to mail support at support@quizfunnel.com

We will update as soon as the bugs are fixed!

    A whirlwind launch!

    Hello everyone!

It’s been almost a month and a half since the launch of QuizFunnel. I have received plenty of feedback – both positive and negative – about the app. I would absolutely LOVE to hear more!

Some of you have also noticed that this blog isn’t updated for awhile and are worried about it. Well, this blog is more of a development blog – and since the past month of launching QuizFunnel I have been slowly gathering all the various feedback, etc to improve QuizFunnel for everyone.

So don’t worry – I’m still here to work on QuizFunnel. :)

These are some of the stuff in the works:

#1) Bug fixing – We have numerous bugs that needs to be fixed: I’ll list them below.
#2) Upgrades – Several upgrades that many of you have requested will be added!
#3) FAQ Page – A little FAQ page will be posted up.
#4) Case study/testimonial page – I would REALLY love to hear the results you are getting with QuizFunnel and how it helps your business/marketing campaigns! Please send them to support@quizfunnel,com if you are so kind. :)

I will now attempt to list down several bugs/upgrade requests that I have obtained. Note that still, not ALL upgrades will be done.

    ———————————————————————————–

    **BUG FIXING**

Bug 1) Jarbled text in quiz answers when using
text after edit [Edit: instead, position bullet points and lines such that extra line does not go under bullet point, but align correctly]

Bug 2) Jarbled text in Evaluation pages and Total value evaluation text

SUPERBUG 3) Random insertion of quiz questions/choices in other people’s quiz.

Big Bug 4) Some evaluation pages not appearing on some browsers. (I have yet to pinpoint the exact cause for this, but if you are getting this bug as well, please send a mail to support@quizfunnel.com with your OS (Windows/OSx/Linux/etc), the browser and the browser version you are using. And if javascript/cookies are enabled on your browser. Thanks!

Bug 5) Problem with inability to edit Total Value Evaluation rules

Bug 6) “Less than” sign in TVE is actually “Less than and equals to”

Bug 7) Link to this blog on funnels page is wrong. :)

Bug 8) Oversight on logic operators. < operators values should take precedence. E.g., <22 should take precendence over <33, though a value of 10 might be less than both it should display <22 results. This makes it easier to create rules for values between 22 and 33, for example.

Bug 9) Automatically created lines/paragraphs in evaluation text when user enters spaces.

Bug 10) Checkbox answers should display respective evaluation when user ticks it.

Bug 11) Stats open ended don't seem to record down all the info (missing stats for open text. weird)

Bug 12) Should show error if user clicks submit and no answer is selected

        • Bug 13) Can’t add open text answer if no text is added along with it
        • Bug 14) Can only add open text answer to last of every question
        • SUPERBUG 15) Stats for open text answers seem to be deleted and replaced occasionally. Database error!!
      • UPGRADES**

#1) Edit evaluation page design – Ability to add Brand Logo, Header, Edit Font Sizes & Look

#2) Masking of Evaluation page URL

#3) Add instructions on Display code to help organize steps for set up; get users to evaluation page, where to place redirect code/optin form code

#4) Add javascript redirect code for users/facebook integration instructions

    #5) Ability to turn on/off text-shadow

    #6) Reset statistics

    #7) Edit ‘Submit’ button text

#8) Import feature (unlikely to be added for now)

#9) Reordering of quiz questions. May also result in auto-redirecting quiz question to next in line.

#10) Evaluation page: Switch on/off display of points

#11) Script to make quiz popup at bottom right.

#12) Social sharing after the end of the quiz.

    ———————————————————————————–

Whew! That’s a long list after 1.5 months. :) But again, QuizFunnel is in beta and that’s also why we are actively seeking more feedback! Thank you EVERYONE for all your feedback!

Stay tune as we start fixing those bugs and upgrading QuizFunnel…

    Cheers!

Am very happy to say that the 2 bugs are now resolved:

#1) Sample quizzes, surveys and feedback forms for new user accounts are now usable, stylable from the get-go. You can just plug and play within 60 seconds from payment now.

#2) Exporting of open stats is also done.

We’re gonna be preparing for a launch next week. Exciting times!

      Hi Jeff,
I am looking forward to getting this working, I messed myself up by making to many questions to start with and it is taking me forever to get to the sharp end of the game. soon enuf tho.

PS: FEEDBACK… Your link to this BLOG on the http://quizfunnel.com/funnels tab dose not go to the blog but is self referential…. just thought I’d let you know so you can fix it.

      Cheers Glenn.S

Version 2.0 is pretty much ready and done. There are 2 bugs left:

#1) The sample quizzes, surveys and feedback form in a new user account currently cannot be styled and displayed correctly. It can, however, be duplicated and it will work as it should though. Getting it fixed.

#2) Exporting of open text in stats is on the works too.

That being said, QuizFunnel would be undergoing it’s launch process soon – next week. Getting the videos done up for it too.

    Stay tuned.

    3 bugs fixed + 1 feature upgraded!

Bug 1: iframe height sizing is incompatible with actual quiz height. Now iframe height is obtained similar to user’s setting for quiz height + 30 px. Perfect!

Bug 2: Duplication of quiz questions error due to code not escaping apostrophe ( this –> ‘ ). Fixed!

Bug 3: Not really a bug, but rather a UX improvement. When editing question, the popup box will now appear with the original question rather than an empty box. Editing a question literally means ‘editing’ the question now, rather than ‘retyping the question’!

Feature Upgrade: Export function now also exports quiz question’s stats!

The QuizFunnel guide video is up! Access it on the right or via this url: http://quizfunnel.com/blog/quizfunnel-guide/

The videos are a little white-washed for some reason (Youtube screwed it up a little…I’m thinking if I should try Vimeo). I hope my voice is audible for everyone to understand, and finally, I hope the videos really can help you understand the flow to using QuizFunnel.

The Quickstart Guide page do require a little tidying up and formating to maybe make it look prettier, but right now it’s functional so I’ll leave it at that first.

Any issues do feel free to drop support@quizfunnel.com a message. Thanks!

Version 2.0 is 99% complete! Except for the inclusion of one huge bug: there are random addition to users’ quiz questions’ answers.

As of now we are looking into it. It is most probably a code to database bug, and I’m sure we will be able to fix it soon. Right now, please always remember to check through your quizzes using the self-host URL to see that your quiz is working out well!
